Abstract

Abstract - In this work, an enhanced control method for a grid-connected voltage-source converter of permanent-magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) wind turbine system under unbalanced and distorted grid voltages is introduced. With the proposed method, the grid current regulators based on proportional-integral and resonant (PIR) control are applied to order to mitigate the current distortion flowing into the grid. The validity of this control scheme has been verified by the simulation of the 2MW-PMSG wind turbine system.
